Millennium Tapestry
The Allendale Centre is proud to be the home of Wimborne’s Millennium Tapestry which you will find in the Waterside Restaurant.
The squares in the tapestry were individually worked by members of the local community as a special project to represent various organisations and businesses existing in the town of Wimborne Minster in the year 2000.
It was the idea of Mrs. Joyce Eidmans of Wimborne Minster Evening Townswomen’s Guild and was unveiled by HRH The Duchess of Gloucester GCVO on the 2nd May 2000.
